Heads-Up Riders!
For everyone’s safety and comfort (yours and our horses!), we ask that all riders wear proper riding gear when you are in the saddle.
- Closed-toed shoes or boots with low heels, no flip flops, sandals, or super high heels or stacked soles. Running shoes are fine.
- Long pants please – shorts aren’t great for riding. The leather on the saddle gets scalding hot in the summer sun and brush can scratch legs while you are on the trail. We don’t want any blistered bottoms. And please, we have kids/family riding here and they don’t need to see any “bottoms”.
- Helmets – we’ve got some if you don’t have one. Consider “no braids, weaves, or buns” if you are going to get a good fit. Extra Large is as big as they go.
- Please make sure your tops are PG-rated (let’s keep it family-friendly for all riders!)
- It’s all about keeping you safe and making sure you are comfortable to have the best ride possible. The above requests just make sure no one ends up in a “what was I thinking moment” as your breasts bounce out, if the horse trots. Yep, it’s happened.
- No purses or backpacks while riding. Small, close-fitting Camelback-type backpacks are OK.
- Dress for the weather, rain jacket/poncho (we ride in light rain), gloves for cold weather, and sunscreen, mosquito spray as needed.
Thanks for understanding, and happy trails!
– Cypress Trails Ranch Team
